Catalonia will host the Grand Départ of the Tour de France in 2026. Specifically, the second stage, which will take place on July 5, 2026, will start in the city of Tarragona, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and finish in the city of Barcelona, passing through several municipalities along the Costa Daurada coastline, known for its long stretches of fine golden sandy beaches.
