Terminal Inauguration at Tarragona Cruise Port
The official opening ceremony of the new terminal took place on June 11th, featuring folklore entertainment from the city. The terminal’s doors opened, followed by speeches from key figures including Alba Colet, Javier Rodríguez, Mehmet Kutman, and Rubén Viñuales. Emphasizing sustainability, Kutman highlighted the terminal’s eco-friendly technologies and future operations. The new terminal, located on the Balears Wharf, boasts modern facilities, a 759-meter berthing line, and a 40,000 m² esplanade, enhancing passenger services and port operations. The ceremony concluded with a ribbon-cutting, dinner, and celebration of the terminal’s inauguration and the start of the 64th MedCruise Assembly. The terminal, designed with functionality and eco-efficiency in mind, will incorporate Onshore Power Supply, marking a significant step towards sustainable cruise tourism in the Costa Daurada region.
